PackIt

A local workspace that connects the recipe to the decisions around a finished product: cost, nutrition, ingredients, allergens, package copy, and approval.

What it helps with.

Product information often lives in several places and gets recomputed by hand. PackIt keeps the source recipe visible while preparing the information needed for costing and packaging.

Work from the live recipe

Products, recipes, ingredients, quantities, sub-recipes, and package sizes stay connected instead of becoming separate copies.

See the whole product cost

Food, packing labour, production labour, packaging, overhead, and profit appear together for the finished package.

Prepare package information

Nutrition, ingredient statements, contains and may-contain allergens, and copy-ready review text come from the same recipe graph.

Keep an approval trail

Saved snapshots and package sign-offs are explicit. Current calculations stay separate from approved historical outputs.

The app is organized around one product at a time, so the operator can move from formula to package review without losing the source of each number or statement.

    Check ingredients, quantities, sub-recipes, and coverage.

  3. 03Complete the costs

    Add selling price, labour, packaging, and overhead inputs.

    Check nutrition, ingredient copy, allergens, history, and approval.

What has been used for real.

PackIt is more than a clean-room example. The installed app has opened the working local catalog while preserving the existing product and recipe records.

Installed Mac app

The verified app runs from the Applications folder and opens its local workspace normally.

Live catalog

The existing products and recipes loaded after the database was safely prepared and checked.

Costing in place

The live food-cost view appeared with a clear prompt for the selling price instead of inventing missing values.

The practical boundary

PackIt is a local single-workstation tool, not a public cloud service. Its answers depend on the ingredient, recipe, package, and cost information supplied to it. Missing inputs produce an explanation instead of an incomplete profit estimate.
